The Lord Will Provide! (Genesis 22:14) Abraham said those words as an expression of thanksgiving, faith, relief, praise and worship. All these aspects were rolled into one defining moment in Abraham’s, and his son Isaac’s, life as God provided exactly what was needed when it was needed. That is how God works – He gives us what we need, when we need it. There may be times that we miss his provision because we are blinded by the circumstances around us; nonetheless, the Lord still provides. As we gather around bountiful tables with family and friends this Thanksgiving I encourage you to consider how The Lord has provided in your life. Give Him thanks, allow those God given moments to temper your faith and serve as a platform for your next adventure as His disciple. It is imperative that we open ourselves to the idea that God wants to USE US as an answer to someone’s prayer. God truly does want to use you to provide something for others… it could be mentoring, friendship, talents, driving, cooking, cleaning, laundry help, reading, or companionship. We know that God provides… will you let Him provide through you as well as for you?
