Welcome to First Church of Christ
“Thanks for stopping by to get to know us a bit better before you visit. We really want you to walk into this place and see a bunch of imperfect people in need of a whole lot of grace who have found a perfect Jesus. You come as you are and I’ll come as I am, and we’ll learn to grow in grace and mercy together.”
– David Hall, Pastor
Here are five things we’d love for you to know about us!
ONE: You never, ever have to get all dressed up (either physically or spiritually) to join us. We’re just a bunch of imperfect people doing the very best we can to be more like Jesus every day.
TWO: Jesus loves young people and so do we! Through our weekend and mid-week programs, our amazing staff and volunteers help children and teens understand how much God loves them.
THREE: Weekend services are very important! Hearing Bible teaching and listening to uplifting music draws us closer to God. And you’ll also find that fun and laughter are core First Church of Christ values!
FOUR: Whether you’re new to church or been around a very long time, First Church of Christ is a place where you can connect with others and take your next step. We would love to help you get connected!
FIVE: Jesus didn’t come to be served but to serve, and we want to follow His lead. So we’re committed to providing a wide variety of volunteer opportunities, both inside and outside the church.
So thanks for stopping by, and we hope to see you soon at one our Sunday morning services!

Easter Sermon Series
February 28 - April 4, 2021
There is an awesome power about the cross. Jesus said, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself” (John 12:32). There is a mysterious magnetism about the cross that attracts us. The cross convicts the sinner, it convinces the skeptic, it humbles the arrogant. The Bible says, “The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” (1 Corinthians 1:18). Some consider the cross “foolishness” today. They can look in the face of the crucified Christ and be totally indifferent. But to those of us who are Christian, we know that the cross forgives our sin, transforms our daily attitude, and gives us an eternal hope.
Over the course of this Easter sermon series, we want to stand beneath the cross and look at the Savior dying for us again. We’re going to look at the cross from the perspective of a variety of people who were there in the first century. And the hope is that we will see it in a fresh way and that we will conclude of a truth, “This man is the Son of God, dying for me.”
