In 1 Corinthians 15 the Apostle Paul writes, “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures” (vv. 1-2). Between the crucifixion and resurrection is the burial of Christ, under the heading of first importance. Let’s take a look at why his burial is of first importance to our faith.
