There is no question that the second coming is of first importance. Christ’s return is an essential of our faith. But the specifics of events and timing of his second coming are matters of interpretation and opinion, which unfortunately have often overshadowed what really matters concerning his return. This event should unite us, but instead, for many Christians and in many churches, it has become a divisive issue.
